Senior independent living apartments
At Bainter Construction we are proud to own and operate many residential properties designed to meet the needs of the seniors of Northwest Kansas. We currently have two apartment complexes with two more in the process of being constructed. The pictures below show the public areas of our current buildings in Hoxie and Hill City. The new buildings in Smith Center and Hays will be built in a similar manner. Each building has public dining and social areas for us by the residents (In addition to their private living and dining areas in each apartment)
To help accommodate our residents all apartments and public spaces are fully handicapped accessible. This provides an ideal environment for residents who use wheelchairs or scooters. Large no-step shower stalls in every apartment provide for easy access and wide hallways and doors also help make the complexes accessible. A typical apartment in one of our complexes has a kitchen/dining area, a living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a laundry area and ample closet space. Each unit has a full kitchen equipped with appliances: including a stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Each apartment has a self contained heating and cooling system so that residents can fully control the temperature in their home. To provide for our residents safety and peace of mind all our apartment complexes include reinforced concrete storm shelters. This storm safe room is located at ground level and is also fully handicapped accessible. Many of our apartments have attached garages available for use by the residents. Thomas County estates is our newest project currently in progress in Colby, KS. It will provide convenient independent living apartments for seniors at reasonable prices. All apartments are 1,300 square feet and each apartment comes with a private garage. This complex is conveniently located near shopping facilities at Dillions, Walmart, and other stores, but is situated on a side street to minimize noise and traffic.
